As part of our cooking class calendar this October we are excited to announce guest presenter Sarina Kamini and her HEALTHY COOKING WITH SPICES demonstration cooking class + lunch.
Sarina is an Australian-Kashmiri author who lives and writes in Margaret River.
A former food + culture journalist, she worked for fifteen years in newspapers, food guides and magazines in Paris, Edinburgh, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Sydney and Barcelona.
Her first book, Spirits in a Spice Jar, was published May 2018 by Westland Books.
Join this fantastic day and explore the art of spice balance, learn Kashmiri cooking techniques, share a wonderful lunch and take home traditional Kashmiri recipes.
Sarina will introduce the health benefits of spices, beginning with how to balance spice flavours and their effects on the palate and finishing with the creation of a traditional Kashmiri banquet.
After the cooking demonstration, enjoy lunch in the Cape Lodge restaurant with dishes that celebrate the magic of these spices.
